What we collect
When you sign up we collect your email address. When you set up a profile we store your chosen username and (if you upload one) an avatar image. When you post, we store your audio recording, its duration, and an AI-generated summary.
How we use it
We use this information to operate earful: to authenticate you, to show your posts in the public feed, and to generate text summaries of your recordings. We do not sell your data.
AI processing
Audio you post is sent to a third-party AI provider (Google Gemini, via the Lovable AI Gateway) to generate a one-line summary. Recordings are transmitted over encrypted connections.
Public content
Posts, replies, likes, usernames, and avatars are public — anyone who visits earful can see them. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Your choices
You can delete your own posts and replies at any time. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, email kabir@indieworld.io.
Cookies
We use a small number of essential cookies and local storage entries to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
